Challenge Camp...

Yet another week passed where I was able to soak in and enjoy the beauty of Camp Yamhill. This time, it was Challenge Camp...a camp fully devoted to climbing trees, strapping on harnesses, and flying through the air with (not so much) the greatest of ease. It was such a great week full of some memories that won't quickly escape my memory. I know that I learned a ton, as well as the campers. Here are just a few things that I (or my campers) learned while at Challenge Camp...

1. It is OKAY to set high goals for yourself. It pushes you to be always be better. You'll regret it later if your goal was set too low and that's where you stopped.
2. Sasquatches are tame creatures...they are more afraid of you than you are of it. We had several Sasquatch sightings this last week...it must be the cool weather bringing them in. Sasquatch!
3. Revenge is sweet. AKA: If you toilet paper and plunger Christi's car, she will make sure that Sasquatch is waiting for you in your sleeping bag at night!!!
4. Every once in a while, it really is okay to break out in the Hammer dance...dun dun dun dun...dun dun...dun dun...can't touch this. Olivia was the pro... Olivia
5. We all learned that it's better not to get the stars in your eyes...because that means that you're in Looooooooooooove. And that means that Andy will sing the Twitterpated song to you... Twitterpated
6. It doesn't matter how many times you've seen it in your life, a baptism can still move you to tears. Chloe, I'm so proud of you for your decision. Chloe Baptism

These are just a few of the MANY MANY lessons that were taken away from Challenge Camp this year. It was a VERY uplifting and powerful week.
